While my social heritage ignited my interest in environmental health, my academic background and life experiences continually inspire and strengthen my interest in medicine and healthcare.   • Independently conducted research to study the impacts of intercropping loblolly pine and switchgrass, as a sustainable way to produce second-generation biofuels. 
  • Culminated this study with a senior dissertation defending secondary generation biofuels as sustainable alternatives for primary generation biofuels, based on their public health impacts​
